Hanskin Glossy Magic BB Cream / Hanskin Perfect Super Magic BB Cream

I have received tons of request for reviews of Hanskin BB Creams. I managed to lay my hands on 2 from a sweet angel and here's my review:

Hanskin Glossy Magic Blemish Balm Cream
Coverage: Sheer to Medium (buildable but too thick a layer will appear a little cakey)
Texture: Pretty liquidifed, very easy to apply.
Shade: Slightly greyish.
Fragrance: A very slight typical cosmetic scent but its very faint.
Oil-Control: Surprizingly, its oil control is pretty good.
Dewyness: It gives a very dewy glowly look. I thought my face was oily but it was actually from the pearly glow that the BB cream gave.
Overall comments: This BB Cream reminds me of the Missha Watery BB Cream, except that this is very much lighter in shade. For those who finds that Missha Watery BB is a little dark for you, this will be the perfect BB! Upon application, it leaves a natural luminosity dewy finish that I kept mistaking it for being oily on my skin. Overall, I really like this BB except for its pretty sheer coverage. I probably can mix this with a thicker coverage BB / liquid foundation.

Hanskin Perfect Super Magic Blemish Balm Cream
Coverage: Medium to Full
Texture: Pretty liquidified, easy to apply.
Shade: Has a slight pink undertone.
Fragrance: None!
Oil-Control: It has a medium oil control for me. By mid-day, I'll notice a little shine on my t-zone. If you have combi skin, I reckon the oil control to be better for you.
Dewyness: It gives a slight dewy look.
Overall comments: This BB Cream reminds me of the RojuKiss BB except that its texture is so much easier to apply and that its coverage is really good. Oil control isn't the best but its managable. If you wear a oil-controlling base / primer beneath it, you'll be able to control the oil secretion well. It gives a slight dewy look so you do not look overly 'oily' with too dewy a look.

Comparing these 2 BB creams, I like the glossy magic bb cream for its oil control and natural luminosity glow but not its sheer coverage while the Perfect Super Magic coverage is excellent and has an SPF of 30.

I have the trial tube of 10ml so I am unable to sell samples of these 2 BB but, if you're looking to get these BB Creams, you can get it from Gingerdip @ Blogspot or I might start a spree on Hanskin BB creams. Anyone interested?

I must be a bit darker than a lot of people using BB Cream because Missha Watery is light on my skin, haha. And my skin is losing its summer tan as well... I only tried it once though because I was also using a new moisturizer for the first time and accidentally pumped out too much. And I might've used too much BB cream as well. Result: breaking out. Haha. Going to try to get rid of these and try again!

a little goes a long way!

if its too light for you, do a really light application and go over with your normal pressed powder / loose powder in your skin tone to even out the shade. it should work. :)

remember, a little goes a longggggggggggg way! ;)

I just have another question. I went to MAC the other day to have them tell me what shade/undertone my skin is because I kept reading here and on Soompi about NC#, and most people seem to be NC20-25 or so. I went and the person told me NC43 (haha, I know), but this was with MAC's Select liquid foundation. Do you know if that makes a difference? Would the number for Studio Fix powder foundation be different?

NC is for yellow undertones
NW is for those pink undertones

the lower the number, the fairer it is.

I'm not a retailer. I do not sell BB Creams.

For a medium to full coverage with a great oil control, try Skin Food Aloe Sun BB Cream.

hasamaki: Question~

Hello, I'm REALLY new to the whole makeup thing and even newer to BB creams - I just got Missha M Perfect Cover and Hanskin's Perfect Super BB cream (which I just noticed doesn't have the 'magic' word in it, is it a rip-off?)

Anyways, my question was what did you recommend/use to REMOVE bb creams? Like what kind of makeup removers..?

>.< Thanks for reading~

there are 2 versions. hanskin perfect super and the hanskin super magic. =)

my 2 favourite makeup removers at the moment: http://kimoko.livejournal.com/301511.html & http://kimoko.livejournal.com/366038.html

Ah, thank you ^^ so much for answering.

Are the versions simply different in names or are they different enough that I should just get the hanskin super magic?

kimoko: Re: Question~

if i'm not wrong, one is the updated formula. but i can't quite remember which though, but in terms of benefits, they are pretty similar so no worries. ;)

the coverage of Hanskin Premium Magic feels very poor for me. Maybe it's because of my acne scars and red blotches everywhere. Just wondering that you stated the coverage is medium to full.
But actually I like Hanskin. It feels so light and doesn't breakout

the coverage of it gets fuller when i apply more and does give me pretty good coverage.

if you experience from redness, you might want to use a green corrector to reduce the redness prior applying your foundation. =)
