Beauty Review: Mentholatum Acnes Medicated Oil Control Cleansing Sheet

You girls know how I love cleansing sheets for makeup remover especially for holidays and/or lazy days when I just need to remove my makeup really quickly.

I saw this and was contemplating if I should get it. A couple of days later, I could resist no more and bought it!

Its retailing at S$2.90 for a pack of 12 sheets at all major drug / beauty stores (I bought this from Watsons but I do believe its available at NTUC xpress & heartland beauty stores too).

As usual, the ingredient list.

The only drawback is the packaging. Its pretty similar to normal wet tissues with a sticky sticker closure. Such packaging tends to dry up the product easily but since its only a pack of 12 sheets, it probably will not dry up if I go through this pack within a week or so. Oh yes, I do store the pack opening side down to prevent further drying up.

The sheet is pretty huge (way bigger than the Biore Wipes) and its very much thicker too so you need only 1 sheet to remove your entire face's makeup.

It does have a slight scent to it though. It smells very much like the Kao Biore Cool Facial Wash so it did have this slight tingly sensation when you first wipe the cleansing sheet on your face but that sensation did not last for more than a couple of seconds.

When I use cleansing wipes, the first main factor that I'm really concerned is, if it stings the eye. You girls know I wear eye makeup (eyeshadow, liner & mascara) so it has to be able to remove my eye makeup without stinging my eyes. With the cooling menthol sensation & the alcohol content, I was a little skeptical to try it on my eye but I eventually did it by wiping gently on the first try.

Guess what? It did not sting a wee bit! The next question you'll probably ask is if can remove waterproof mascara. Well, I do not wear waterproof mascara. In fact, the mascara I love, Charming Cat Mascara is water soluble so I really can't judge on removing waterproof makeup.

Next, the oil control factor. On the reverse of the packaging, this is what's printed:

"AC NET regulate and control excess oil secretion. Enriched with natural plant extract to keep skin healthy, fresh and moisturized. Aloe Extract penetrates deeply in skins which help restore natural softeness and healthy complexion"

Since I remove my makeup at the end of the day and I'll be heading straight to bed, I can't really tell much about the oil control factor.

All I know is that for S$2.90 a pack or S$0.24 a sheet, its definitely a product I'll re-purchase! If I'm going on a holiday, this is what I'll bring along!

Have you tried this Cleansing Sheet? Do you share similar thoughts as I do?
