Finally! The reviews for this package! From left: The Face Shop Pure Berry Clear BB Cream SPF20 PA++, The Face Shop Hydro Splash BB Cream SPF20 PA++ & The Face Shop Arsainte Eco Therapy Super Repair BB Cream SPF20 PA++.
*if I did not furnish an ingredient list, its because its not printed on the packaging and its not available online so do not ask for the ingredient list if its not listed in the post.
The Face Shop Pure Berry Clear BB Cream with SPF 20 PA++ Coverage : Sheer - Medium Texture : Pretty easy to blend. Shade : This BB Cream comes only in 1 shade and this fits NC20-25. Undertone : Yellow undertone. Fragrance : It has a very pleasant fruity berry scent. It smells like my favourite Raspberry Roots Sleeping Mask. Very very pleasant. Oil-Control: Average. 5-6hours. Dewy-ness: Slight dewy finish Overall Comments: When I first read about this BB Cream, the word CLEAR had me thinking that its an untinted BB Cream, just like the Skin79 Control BB Cream. I was thinking of using this as my night moisturizer but when I received it, I was surprized that its tinted. And so, I concluded that the word 'Clear' meant a clear complexion. It isn't one of the best BB Cream I've tried but its definitely one that has an extremely pleasant scent. With an SPF of 20, this Pure Berry Clear BB Cream is one of the fuss-free BB Cream that I can pick up on a daily basis without having to consider which BB Cream to use. For those with normal to combination skin types, you'll adore this BB Cream.
The Face Shop Hydro Splash BB Cream with SPF 20 PA++ Coverage : Medium Texture : When you first squeeze it outta the tube, it seems a little thick but upon application, it melts into your skin immediately. Shade : This BB Cream only comes in one shade and it fits those who are NC30-35. I had to use a fairer powder to even out the shade. Undertone : Greyish undertone. Fragrance : It has a fainty flowery scent that fades away upon application. Oil-Control: 9-12 hours. Dewy-ness: Very dewy finish. Overall Comments: This is pretty similar to Missha M Watery BB Cream which makes it the most favourite of the 3. I love the oil control and dewy finish! The first day I tried it, I kept thinking my face was oiling up and I kept wanting to blot my face but I realized it was a dewy glow. The application is pretty similar to the L'egere Water Drop & Lioele Water Drop BB Cream that upon application, you'll notice water droplets on your skin. Its made of 70% water that dehydrated skin will Thank you for treating it with a water based BB Cream. The only difference of this BB Cream & the Missha M Watery BB Cream is its coverage. Most of you have said that the coverage of Missha M Watery BB Cream is pretty sheer. If you like Missha M Watery BB Cream but not its coverage, you'll definitely love this Hydro Splash BB Cream as much as I do! The only drawback is that the shade is a little dark and ashy on my skin. I am reverting back to my original NC20-25 skin tone so I have to use a very much fairer powder to help even out the shade. Tanner babes, you'll Thank The Face Shop for this darker shade of BB Cream. With Evening Primrose in its formulation and an SPF of 20, this Hydro Splash BB Cream will be making its way up to my top 5 BB Cream soon! Which BB Cream will be falling off that chart? You'll find out soon!
The Face Shop Arsainte Eco- Therapy Super Repair BB Cream with SPF 20 PA++ Coverage : Medium - Full Texture : Pretty liquidified, very easy to blend. Shade : This BB Cream only comes in 1 shade and it fits NC25-30. Undertone : A cross with both pink and yellow undertones which will fit both pink or yellow undertones babes. Fragrance : It has a very faint cosmetic fragrance. Oil-Control: 6 hours. Dewy-ness: Slight dewy finish Overall Comments: When I read about this BB Cream, I found it super amusing. An organic BB Cream that is Eco-Friendly? It is apparently a BB Cream that uses natural ingredients in its formulation. Its printed on the packaging that its made of 85% natural ingredients. Even its packaging is eco-friendly. If only there was an ingredient list. Oh well, this BB Cream is ranked #2 among these 3. I love its coverage and blendability. Those who have combination skin will definitely love this BB Cream.
I love how the new BB Creams all come with an SPF of 20. I absolutely adore BB Creams that comes with an SPF. It saves me time from applying a seperate SPF, unless I am going to be out in the open and require a higher SPF.
I am so so so so in love with the blogshop that I am currently waiting for a few other packages from Ling including other BB Creams from The Face Shop! Remember, if you are purchasing the BB Creams or any other products from Ling, quote, "Kimoko - Queen of BB" and she'll include additional samples just for you!
oh.... this is a great thing to find. now all i need is a hookup from korea still. darn.. to be in canada where its hard to find shoppers to buy from beside ebay and such that is over priced
well, you have to factor in the administrative fee for doing the liasion with a korean counterpart and international shipping, international payment, etc.
Tue, Sep. 15th, 2009 01:29 am (UTC) (Anonymous): bb cream for sensitive skin
hey Kimoko, queen of BB cream, i've been reading your journal and is loving it. there is one qn i always wanted to ask ..i have sensitive skin and has broke out using Dr jart with redness/bumps at cheek area. i have used Dr G brightening balm and yhew, it work prefect. since the Dr Jart, i am a bit skeptical in trying out new product. Kimoko darling..based on your experience, are you able to introduce a BB cream that can work well with sensitive skin ? is light, no fragrance but yet gives coverage? i think sensitive skin tend to be on the drier side, esp on cheek area with flakiness at times..
hi dear, how would you compare coverage of the hydrosplash bb to Lioele Water Drop BB? i'm using it right now (i have dry skin) and i'm finishing the tube soon so i might wanna give it a try!
Hi! I'm Alice, an avid (albeit silent) reader of your blog. Firstly I would like to thank you for posting all the ultra-useful reviews of BB creams and other products! =) You have been extremely generous with your reviews and advice, and I'm grateful that you are willing to share them with us (non LJ users).
I hope I'm not rude but could you kindly confirm if the Hydrosplash BB cream shade is really suitable for NC30-35? I'm personally around NC30 and I'm THRILLED to read that from your blog (most BBs are a lil light for me), but I asked an online seller and she said its actually fairer than NC25.
Hope to hear from you and I'm sorry again if I'm rude to question your review. Thanks sweetie! =)

I bought this one two weeks ago and people really did notice the dewy glow, and my brighter facial complexion. I'm a MAC NC25, and the color suited me (I have pinkish complexion)just fine. It stays on pretty long, but I was confused about the need for me to blot every now and then. So, the mystery has been solved. That was water all along. Thanks for the info!
hmm, i was really tempted to try hydro splash because my skin feels really dehydrated nowadays. hahaha, and the name of the bb cream just feels so.... hydrating! but i have bad experience with two of faceshop's bb cream. quick and clean and the skin extra/or the extra skin bb cream. both broke me out and the oil control is like.... =.=" entire face turned oily within an hr. =(

i think you mis read the paragraph. i mentioned, the word CLEAR on the tube made me had the impression that its a clear (untinted) bb cream. thinking that its untinted, i wanted to wear it to bed but since its not, its actually tinted (the word clear merely meanted a clear complexion), i could not wear it to bed. :)
hihi! wanna find out ur opinion on the following bb creams: 1. Missha M Watery BB Cream with SPF27 2. Skinfood Aloe BB Cream 3. The Faceshop Hydro Splash BB Cream
Which do u tink it's e best? =) 1st time trying BB cream n have no idea which to use. recently seems to have outbreaks =((
I've always read your LJ for BB cream reviews and first, i wanted to thank you on how helpful they are (^^)~
I am interested in purchasing TFS Pure Bloom and Pure Berry, in your opinion, which one do you think is the best? I wanted to purchase Hydro Splash but since you said it's a little dark, i decided not to ): (my skin is really pale)
if you're looking for coverage, definitely the pure berry as the pure blossom is sheer but if you're looking for something that makes your skin glow, get the pure blossom instead. :)
Hi Kimoko! Just want to know if Hydro Splash is still available in your country?? I heard Hydro Splash is now phased out in S. Korea.. Sad.. I really want to try it because it's water based.

hi (: i'm thinking of getting a bb cream but i'm not sure which would be the best since it's my first time trying. how would you rate these products? 1) skinfood Peach Sake Pore BB Cream SPF20 PA+ 2) etude house BB Magic Cream 3) the faceshop Pure Berry Clear BB Cream SPF 20 PA ++ 4) missha MISSHA M original BB Cream
Hi Kimoko - Queen of BB, can you tell me the name of the clear Skin79 Control BB Cream. I can't seem to find one that is clear - I need one without any pigment.
